However, the Spider-Man actor stated in a recent interview that he intends to take "a year off" from acting after a "difficult" experience while filming the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room.
According to Holland, who also produced the psychological thriller, he had a "tough time" with it since he had to confront "certain emotions" that he had "definitely never experienced before."
Then, on top of that, dealing with the day-to-day issues that arise on any film set as a producer just added that extra degree of strain, he continued. The difficulty of this show is the reason I'm taking a year off now.
Holland also acknowledged that, despite the challenges, he "really enjoyed" working on the show and "loved the learning curve of becoming a producer."
I'm used to working hard. I've always believed that working hard is worthwhile. And I had a great time," he continued. "But on the other hand, the show did ruin me. There was a point where I kind of felt like, "I need to take a break." We put a lot of effort into it, so I am eager to see how it ends out.
Holland also declared in 2022 that he was avoiding social media for the sake of his mental health. The actor at the time said in a video: "When I read things about me online, I get caught up and spiral. And in the end, it's really bad for my mental health, so I took a step back and deleted the app.
